* Excessive smoke from vehicle
*Smoke and dusts from cities
*Improper disposal of household wastages
*harmful rays emitted from radioactive element
*Gases from volcano, fire etc

Effect of air pollution

* Problem in vision
* Greenhouse effect
* Problem in growth of plants
* Negative effect in human health
* Destruction of ozone layer
* Climate change
* Acid rain
* Deterioration of historical monuments

Control measure of air pollution

*Reduce population growth
*Removing factories and industries from residential area and establishing them far from residential     area
*Use of tall and managed chimney in factories and industries
*Increase the use and development of alternative sources instead of fossil fuels
*Decrease the production of air polluting gases
*Conduct afforestation programs and conservation of trees
 *Increase in public awareness

Causes of water pollution

*Mixing of sewage in water sources
*Mixing of chemicals released from factories and industries in the water
*Excessive use of fertilizer and insecticides in crops which gets washed away due to rain and gets       mixed into water
*Obstruction in the flow of water
*Mixing of oil/petroleum in water due to accident in river.
*Mixing of metallic, plastic object in water which neither decay nor decompose.

Control measure of water pollution 

*Control the mixing of sewage in water resources
*Proper disposal of wastes
*Cleaning the water resources
*Decrease the use of insecticides and fertilizer
*Increase in public awareness


Causes of land pollution

*Mixing of domestic wastages in land or soil
*Excessive usage of insecticides and fertilizers
*Disposal of residential wastages
*Mixing of non-decomposable objects in soil
*Acid rain

Control measure of land pollution

*Decrease the use of chemical fertilizer and insecticides and increase the use of compost manure
*Proper disposal of waste material
*Proper disposal of non-decaying and non-decomposing material
*Purifying the industrial wastages and restricting to throw them into land
*Proper management of sewge
*Solid wastes management
*Increasing public awareness
